Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

Alexis will eventually see this as a very unplanned adventure in light of what happened at her canon point. She's also a social butterfly by her very nature and once past the kidnapping part of her arc she'll bloom out of the family shadow.

How do you plan to expand their CR?

Alexis by her very nature is a social 20 something, she'll be eventually chatting up everyone and making connections on her own terms. In the process she'll be on a journey of finding the personal she really is minus the shadow of her famous family.

What will your character do for work?

One of her possible jobs includes embracing the college coed cliche and wait tables. Otherwise TBD.

[Because of the landing Alexis had been sent to the clinic mostly as a precaution. But beyond a mild sprain (which is easily braced) and a ton of bruises she was sent on her way soon after. So after a crash and burn at the yurt (which in itself was odd, it reminded her of something out of a book at first) she was walking around New Dodge trying to get her bearings. But at the same time she made some half hearted attempts at trying to reach New York but quickly gave up with a mutter about lack of decent cell service. For now however she was on a mission since having a list of things to do was oddly grounding.] Mission one: a job and unravel what is looking to be a short term misadventure? [Mostly since Alexis is also trying to see her unplanned arrival as just another misadventure in what was looking to be a series of them. But she found the saloon easily enough and well let's be honest: she won't pass up the smell of one of her favorite treats.[ The job hunt can wait, I smell cheese fries! [A smile escaping at that idea. So she heads into the saloon mostly for the fries and snags a table near the window soon after to wait. For the moment however she fished a notebook from her bag and starts to write, mostly since her laptop was back at the yurt and needed to be recharged. But anyone is able to hear or listen in as she writes down her impressions so far.]

This is not Manhattan anymore that's for sure. Yurts, a dome, the wild west not being on a DVD, getting stuck in a bench in the middle of town. No use in trying to get a cell signal so nobody at home worries. But I'm going to make the best of this somehow, just wish I knew where to start. [That was when the fries arrived to musing on hold, its treat time!]

To the untrained eye Alexis Castle is the classic good girl. Good grades, no serious rounds of trouble and very much a family girl through and through. Adding onto this is the fact at times she's the adult in the relationship with her dad, but at the same time she's able to cut loose and have fun from normal 20 something things to an ongoing laser tag battle with her dad. Along the way she's gotten less fearful about bucking the system and challenging limits. Alexis is also honest, loyal to everyone close to her heart (especially her family which now includes her father's girlfriend Kate Beckett, just don't ask about her bio mom? Its a long story as she would say but there is a reason behind the whole nickname of "deep fried Twinkie" as coined by her dad) and hold high standards for not just herself but for those around her as well. But how will being on the islands change and challenge her in light of just recently being kidnapped and in recovery from that whole experience? If you ask her Alexis is only going to see this as an unplanned detour since the new challenge is just around the corner. But in reality its only going to be a tricky ride since she's also without her family and those she can trust. So while she works through the kidnapping she'll be a little more guarded while still honest about what she's lived through, but with time and healing will quickly bloom into the vibrant young woman she is.

However if Alexis was asked about anything she could call a weakness she would hedge for a few minutes but admit she can be a little too honest but is working on that. She's also trying to improve things with her birth mother but admits it may never improve beyond being civil. She's also the type to drop everything when it comes to her family, both blood and emotional (which while usually a good thing like when she came to the hospital in the season 4 premiere can also cause problems if she's not careful). Alexis would also admit she does need to learn to act her age once in a while but is trying! She also has a need to keep super high standards for not just herself but for those around her, usually a good thing but she knows it can backfire if she's not careful.

She does have a well hidden fear of losing those she cares about: especially after all the times her dad and Kate have been hurt or almost killed over the last few years along with the time her grandmother was caught in a bank holdup (season 3). The fear she won't admit to however is never finding her someone special: its only gotten worse after her own string of failed relationships over the last few years. But she's also not losing hope since her dad did find Kate after all.

She's gained a good influence via her father's now girlfriend Kate Beckett. She started as a third party and someone she could go to about things only a woman would get but along the way became a friend and someone she could totally trust. She's also gained the good parts of both her father and grandmother from her loyal spirit to her need to sometimes buck the system.

In other words Alexis Castle may be a classic good girl but she is more than meets the eyes. Eudio will be a period of much needed discover and to be seen as more than being Rick Castle's daughter.

INCENTIVE: To have the memories of her kidnapping either taken away or dimmed, she can accept its a part of her now but would like to at least lose the nightmares (which would explain why she was almost her old self by the time of her dad's birthday party later in the season). She would also like protection for those close: especially her dad, Kate, Grams, Gates, Ryan and Esposito.
FIT: Alexis is a very typical young woman when it comes to relationships: having had two in canon as of her canon point and is an affectionate person by nature (especially among family and those she's close to). She's also had to have a few passing (unmentioned in canon) flings along the way. Along the way she's made out and done everything but actually have sex (at least at this point in canon) so she's also a sexual being and very in tune with that side of herself (she's also very at home with showing skin a la cosplay and the fashions of someone her age). She's also a very social creature from the typical fun of a college student to playing fill in escort for her dad. Alexis would also see the adventure of being in Eudio and find meeting new people and trying new things (blame a very curious nature and need to learn new things, she's picked up plenty of random skills in canon after all) another part of the fun along with the healing she'll be doing along the way.

However she does have some leftover trust issues from other periods but will see being in the city as a chance to finally work on them.

CONSENT: After everything she's seen over the last few years from being around not just her dad but Kate and the other detectives Alexis is a believer in consent in every form more than before (and its something she has always understood and respected). Its only gotten stronger in the aftermath of her being kidnapped. She gets what its like to be on the other end of being used in spite of always having respected others along the way.

Alexis had just gotten out of the cab at the loft her father and Kate now share when the world seemed to stop: like when the pause button was hit on the TiVo unit. Everything seemed to be at a stand still including the cab. Out of fear given everything she's been through over the last few weeks a hand went right for the tazer Kate had lent her when a soft male voice was heard.

"There is nothing to fear."

The clothes were too plain to be a typical New Yorker but too much for the average tourist so that alone was a starting point. But when he speaks he speaks of a city that is powered by consent, physical affection and things of that nature. For someone who has just been kidnapped the idea is striking but the real selling point was more simple.

"You will of course gain something for your time aiding us." and that sent the wheels turning in Alexis's mind. Having her ongoing nightmares of her kidnappers faded was a major one but a more personal one was there (to have her family both blood and emotional protected) so she finally speaks,"Are two part incentives allowed?" He gives her good news,"Of course, they are actually quite common."

So after a few minutes of going quiet and mulling the options (she admits having the nightmares gone was major enough but her heart wanted to have her little family protected. The rep reassuring her two part incentives were common helped seal the deal to borrow the expression) over Alexis Castle made her decision.

"I accept. Can I meet you after supper with my family? I do not want them to worry while I'm away plus I'm late as it is." going for a touch of humor. He has a smile for Alexis,"Of course, I will meet you here after supper and will take you back to your dorm room to gather some clothes as well." A smile escaped for the first time all day,"I will see you soon." as the world was unfrozen and Alexis went into the loft for supper.

*A few hours later*

Alexis met the Eudio representative back at her dorm room and he had to ask,"How was supper and what did you tell your family?" Alexis smiled as she gathered her things from clothes/jewelry and some books to her Iphone and a couple of journals since the tazer was already packed,"That I'm taking some time for me, to properly work through everything in terms of recent events." meaning being kidnapped. "And supper was great, dad made tacos and Grams made cookies." a small baggie of the treats being tucked into her bag along with a photo of her family (her dad, grams and now Kate). He smiled at the photo, bonds of all forms were lovely.

Once she's packed the rep asks for her hand, consent already in full swing. She accepted his offered hand as they left for Eudio.

"Its time to take care of me."

ANYTHING ELSE? Alexis will have her tazer (on loan from Kate) upon arrival but will get the proper permits.

To the untrained eye Alexis Castle appears to be an average college student in her late teens/early 20s. Like most young woman she does wear some jewelry but has no tattoos beyond an occasional fake she wears for fun (headcanon). She also has several scars (all minor) from various childhood mishaps along with her most recently being kidnapped.

Being on the islands after being kidnapped can only make Alexis change but that remains to be seen. Especially interesting will be the fact she's minus her family and the handful of people she's able to trust and while she knows she should talk about what happened not many could blame Alexis for being a bit cagey at least early on. But once she can trust she'll face things and bloom once again into that vibrant fighter she really is.

First Person:
[The feed opens up to a young woman still somewhat bruised covered but otherwise in decent shape all things considered. Alexis appears to be a young woman in her late teens-early 20s and basically has the new arrival look going for her. But she does speak after a few minutes of working out the device.]

Finally! This device is basically a really high end phone so it took a second to figure out. But figured peek in and say hello so hi, I'm Alexis and I just got dumped into all of this after a pretty strange period of time [her way of saying that she had been kidnapped, she's only just been found a few days before]. I'm also going to be working two jobs by choice: by day as a desk clerk for the police and by night as a bartender mostly to be social.

And before I sign off I'm curious, there really was killer bunnies? Because no offense but it sounds like something my dad would cook up. He's a writer since someone will ask.
